We’re bringing our infamous energy to Gov Ball’s After Dark series to continue our celebration of The Next 50 years of Hip-Hop. Through content and events, VICE’s “The Next 50” represents a look forward, through the lens of what the past has built, to showcase the music, fashion, food, art and culture of Hip Hop.
This night is hosted by Chucha Studios and Mata, featuring DJ sets from Angel + Dren, Eden, and Moochie.
In honor of Women’s History Month, Chucha Studios hosted the For Us, By Us panel event with women-identifying community members from varying professional paths coming together to discuss our unique, yet shared experiences of the impacts of the intersectionality of gender, race, and identity in our careers.
Our mission is to communicate the labor in individual careers as a significant tool and form of activism. The panel aims to create unity for marginalized individuals through our collective experiences, featuring Chelsea Miller, Ivie Ani, and Fanta Dicko.
The event is sponsored by Patterns Beauty and Topicals in partnership with Soho Works.
Chucha Studios had a partnership residency with Cafe Erzulie in New York to host day events. Processed ticket sales are donated to partnering non-profit organizations and support production costs.
